Born March 18, 1926 in Cashtown, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Frances (Pisle) Sharrah Sr. She was the wife of the late Curvin O. Mickley, who died Jan. 8, 1996.

Janet was a member of Flohr’s Lutheran Church, McKnightstown. She worked as a bank teller for 35 years, first at the former Gettysburg National Bank in Gettysburg, then at the former Arendtsville National Bank (now ACNB) in Arendtsville, and after the bank merger at ACNB Bank, in Cashtown.

She is survived by her three children, Wayne Mickley and his wife Diane of Orrtanna, Dennis Mickley and his wife Joann of Orrtanna, and Lyn Huff and her husband Larry of Leesburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Meagan Weaver, Mark Mickley, Allison Johnston, and Clint Mickley; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Howard Sharrah Jr.

The Monahan Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Flohr’s Lutheran Church, 595 Flohr’s Church Road, McKnightstown, PA 17343; or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
